Amazing video of our troops

This just reminds me why I love those guys so much. It is easy to take advantage of things, until you have loved ones overseas. I hope those who watch it think twice when they say they "don't support" the troops.

King Cash

Had my blankets downstairs and turned around while making dinner and found him asleep like this.
Such a cute booooy!

Then later that night, I looked over and saw him sleeping like this.... such a silly pup!

Whiten Nails- Hydro Peroxide and Baking Soda

Not a fan of this combo, might just b my nails though. I just found it on pintrest. The recipe is 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Make a paste and then leave on your nails for 5 minutes then wash off with warm water and soap.

I am going to try this one that I found at Pamper & Primp's website that includes lemon juice. I have heard that really does the trick. Also going to try their teeth whitening recipes! I will post about both soon!

Look at that stud

You know that feeling of I could never love anything more than I love ______________

WELL, that is how this boy makes me feel :)

He does love looking at squirrels... He doesn't even look twice at a cat...

Frozen Yogurt Bites!

Super easy and healthy yogurt bites that are fantastic and tasty!
All you need is yogurt, I showed two here because I thought I could squeeze two onto that cookie sheet and I only wound up using one! So yogurt, 1 ziplock, scissors, a glass, a spoon and a cookie sheet, and obviously a freezer.

Cash's Shadowbox

If you know me at all, you will know that Riley, my parent's yellow lab back at home, and I have been ungodly close forever. I have had an 8x10 of her and I framed and up since I have lived down here in Colorado. I recently decided that since I have a pup of my own his picture should be in there. I then decided to embark on a monumental task of getting his paw print. That is what took the longest, otherwise, the rest is self explanatory minus the fact that I cut corners once again, and didn't use an actual shadow box, once his new tags come in I will be adding that to the collage as well.. Should have taken a picture after the AWFUL paint was on his paw.... Who knew that paint could be so terrible? Ask my five month old dog... He will tell you. Anyways, here are the pics!

This was the frame I used,
 TAADDAAAAAA
All set up:)

Leftover Candle Votives as a Mini Nail Polish Holder

Pretty self explanatory, those little glitters you buy for $.99 are a steal, but storing them without accidentally hiding them or constantly knocking them over. Easy fix: candle votive!

8 Day Weekly Organizer Frame

Go to Walmart, buy one of those frames that has 8 different picture slots, buy scrapbook paper and fun little tools, make one for each day of the week and one for a to do list, or whatever you please. Use white board markers to write on the front. Easy, organized, efficient, and cheap!

Spice up a Candle with Twine

Just don't set yourself or anything on fire! Just take some decorating twine, I would use bale twine but I figured I might try and look like I am not from Idaho, and make a bow, easy as pie!

Halfway Shadow Box of Mom and I

I am almost positive that every time my mom has sent me a package or even an envelope with something semi-important in it, she always leaves sticky notes with little hello's on them. I love it to the hundredth degree. It dawned on me the other day to take the ones I had collected and get some sort of already connected frame and make like a shadow box without the depth factor. I went to Walmart and found this tri frame 4x6 perfection that I ended up purchasing for around three dollars. I brought it home, arranged some stuff, printed two pictures of my mom and I, made a quote printable on Picasa, and there we have it. Perfect!

USE NEEDLES INSTEAD OF NAILS!

My grandma had been in Idaho not that long ago to visit her three kids (my mom, my aunt, and my uncle), who all live in the Boise area. She has lived in an apartment/townhome in Seattle forever and she told my mom a really good tip for loosing the huge holes that nails leave. You use sewing needles. I laughed out loud when she told me but I figured I might as well give it a shot. I am not kidding you, it works. On heavier items I have had to double up with using two needles gathered together but, by god it works. Be careful when you hammer them though because if you bend the shaft accidentally the needles are pretty much done. So just take your time and use little hits on the very end of the nail with your fingers fairly (and safely) close the the eye of the needle! Hope it helps and saves you money on both the front end and in the long run with your deposit on this situation!

Update on State Map Art!

I really don't have the shelving space to set these up somewhere now that I am in my new place, and since it is an apartment and I don't want to lose my deposit for a thousand holes, I DIY'd it. I took ribbon and pretty much made a hot glue mess and what not and chunk'd them together like so, then hung them up. Haven't failed me yet and they seem to be so much more appealing then they were scattered with junk!

Super Easy Quick Updo

This was done in not even five minutes! All you need to do is basically just take a good size chunk of hair around your bangs (or where bangs would be) and just make a messy French braid going back towards where your pony will be. Before you put in a pony tail, fluff the braid up a bit by tugging and pulling gently on chunks. The messier the better. I'll attach more pics of it so you get the idea. Play around with it for a while too before you need to pull a hairstyle out of you know where!
Happy Hairstyling:)

Tackle Box Orginazation

K mine is super messy and not a good pic but you get the point. Sort your nail things in your tackle box and it will keep them secure and sorted. I also have another bin that is larger items like my Styrofoam cups for water marbling, my tin foil for glitter removal, etc. This is good for things like small scissors, clippers, files, buffers, qtips, sponges, etc.

$13 at walmart!

Essie's Knockout Pout

Seriously am in love with this color. Now I know why everyone raves about Essie nail polish, this mani was done in 10 minutes. Includes 3 coats of color and one base coat and one top coat. Seriously what I needed today!

Black Rainbow Dots

Made these dots with a bobby pin instead of a dotting tool. Also, did layers with the colors by applying cheaper top coats in between colors just for the 3D effect.

Key Homemade Decal

Super easy to make DIY decals. Using toothpicks, make your design on a ziplock bag and then put a top coat over the decal that will attach it to the bag, that will act as the sealer to your nails when applied. Then wait at least 3 hours for it to completely dry and carefully use tweezers to peel decal off of bag then put on your already polished nails. Apply top cat and you're made in the shade!
